黑白鐵,望文生義,是黑鐵和白鐵的總稱。而黑白鐵加工則是民間小作坊對加工一般鐵件和鍍鋅鐵板東西的叫法。他們將一般的鐵件稱之為"黑鐵",將鍍鋅鐵板(俗稱的雪花鐵)一般稱之為"白鐵"。
